Almost seventy homes, three senior centers, one CNY Art Center Board of Directors, one church group, and twelve judges each traveling almost 40 miles of Fulton streets for 4 to 6 hours. Add one drone, and we ultimately have the seven winners of the First Annual Fulton Chalk the Walk event!
Thank you to all who took the time to create such amazing chalk art. You truly made the voting process very, very difficult.
The winners are:
Beginner - Whole Family: The Alison Shepard Family
Beginner - 13 yrs to 18 yrs: The Dan Schremp Kids
Beginner - 12 and under: The Todd Terpening Kids
Intermediate - Whole Family: The McRae Family
Intermediate - 12 and Under: The Eggleton Grandkids
Expert - 12 and Under: Adrianna Viscome-Rice
Expert - Adult: Brianna Smith
And a special mention to the young artist who, while borrowing her neighbor's driveway to draw, continued her drawing right up on the neighbors block house. Irreverent Artist Award!
Thank you, Fulton residents, for participating. We saw many, many words of inspiration and strength, togetherness and encouragement, and we met families who have loved ones on the front lines working and helping their neighbors through the pandemic. You'll see drawings by kids who miss their schools and their classmates and their teachers too. Tag yourselves and show off your artwork!
We saw humor and silliness, sunburnt shoulders, big smiles, and some pretty amazing interactive drawings.
Thank you to Empire Drones! Wow! They made a huge difference for us. See some of that footage below.
We have some amazingly talented and creative residents and we would be remiss if we didn't thank the judges who took their Sunday afternoon and went from house to house.
Thank you to our judges!
Alissa Jefferson Viscome and her young ladies
Karen Glasl Perwitz
